What is Hip Hop/Street Dance?
Hip Hop dance is a blend of styles that have evolved over the last 30 years into what you see on music videos and on TV today.
Don't worry if you've never danced before, because all our beginners classes start EASY and help you get the basics before moving on.
They are suitable for guys and girls and perfect if you want to get started with a non-technical dance class.
Plus you can join any week, or sign up for a course and learn with other beginners just like you.
All our teachers have their own style, so you can choose the class that feels right for you.
WHICH LEVEL SHOULD I JOIN?
Beginners class with Jen or Hilary will teach you basic steps, General level will challenge you with more intricate steps, but we still take it at a slow pace.. why not give it a try? Escoe's class (Hip Hop Foundations ) is for beginners but focuses on teaching you technique such as locking, poppin', wavin' boogaloo and krumping (...Don't know what these are? Come and find out!...) as well as commercial hip hop so even more experienced dancers can learn new skills. His 9.30pm Tues class is for guys only so gents if you are shy and want a male only class, this one's for you.
HOW OLD ARE YOUR DANCERS?
Our classes are for adults, so anyone over 18 is welcome. Escoe's guys only class is over 16. On average our dancers are in their 20's, 30's and 40's but we cater for all ages and abilities. Contact us if you have questions about the class suitability.
